| A Colonial 4th of July! |
Sun. Jul 4th 2010
In the Celebration of Our Nation's Independence Day, the folks at Popular Forest helped recreate the Colonial theme, by inviting people from all over to help recreate what it would have looked like in Thomas Jefferson's era. There were people there dressed just like the colonial period, showing off there various trades. Some of the trades that were there included: a traditional blacksmith, hand spun pottery, story telling, and drafting people into the military of the era. Then at high noon on the South Lawn was the reading of The Deceleration of Independence. The is an every yearly event to celebrate our Nation's Independence!
